Aquatic therapy
Sarah has a lifelong passion for the water and combines this with her extensive physiotherapy expertise to deliver specialist aquatic rehabilitation. Aquatic therapy offers a unique treatment environment, where the buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints and muscles, while the warmth of the pool promotes relaxation, comfort, and confidence in movement.
As an Accredited Aquatic Therapist with the Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP), Sarah has extensive experience in hydrotherapy and aquatic rehabilitation. She dedicated many years to supporting fellow professionals through her voluntary role on the ATACP Professional Network Committee, helping to advance standards and best practice in aquatic physiotherapy.
Sarah provides both individual aquatic physiotherapy sessions and group exercise classes through the Richmond Aqua Physio Group. Her treatments are tailored to support a wide range of rehabilitation needs, helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall function.
Before commencing one-to-one aquatic therapy, all patients are required to attend a comprehensive land-based physiotherapy assessment. This enables Sarah to fully evaluate your condition, understand your goals, and develop a personalised treatment plan to ensure safe and effective therapy in the pool.
Land-based physiotherapy assessments take place at Teddington Osteopaths, TW11 8UA.

“I suffer from an ongoing muscle wasting disease which impacts my mobility. I thoroughly enjoy my visits to the Hydro pool with Sarah as she has the ability to get me to perform movements and activities in the water that I would be unable to do out of the water. I believe that the exercise programmes are helping me to keep as mobile as possible.”
“With Sarah’s help I have made great progress physically and mentally and I have taken to hydrotherapy like a duck to water.”
