Clinical Pilates
Sarah began her Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2017 and became an APPI Certified Matwork Pilates Instructor in 2022.
As an experienced Physiotherapist, Sarah incorporates Pilates-based exercise into her clinical practice to support rehabilitation, improve movement patterns, and enhance overall physical function. Alongside one-to-one treatment, she offers Clinical Pilates classes, including both Matwork Pilates and a specially adapted Seated Pilates class for those who find it difficult to get up and down from the floor.
Classes are suitable for a wide range of abilities and can be tailored to meet individual needs. Whether you are recovering from an injury or operation, managing a long-term musculoskeletal condition, or simply looking to improve your physical wellbeing, Sarah's classes provide a safe and supportive environment in which to exercise.
Regular Pilates practice can help to improve posture, balance, strength, flexibility, mobility, coordination, and postural awareness. It can support rehabilitation and recovery, reduce the risk of injury, promote overall health and wellbeing, and complement existing fitness and training programmes.
Before joining a class, all participants are asked to complete a screening questionnaire. In some cases, a one-to-one assessment may be recommended to ensure the class is appropriate and to help you get the most from your Pilates practice.
