Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How to get started?

Book an initial physiotherapy assessment with Sarah McKeown. This assessment determines diagnosis, goals, and the best pathway (one-on-one treatment, Clinical Pilates, Aquatic Therapy, or a combination).

Q. How do I book an appointment?

To book or ask about availability, please contact Teddington Osteopaths on 020 8977 3295 directly and request an appointment with Sarah McKeown or contact Sarah directly via email sarah@rewindphysio.co.uk if you wish to discuss your needs or require any further information prior to booking.

Q. What to Expect at Your First Appointment?

  • thorough history and movement assessment.

  • Clear explanation of your condition and treatment options.

  • A tailored plan with short and long-term goals.

  • Practical advice and immediate strategies to manage symptoms.

Q. How many treatment sessions will I need?

Patients often respond well to physiotherapy treatment within the first 3-6 sessions. However, treatment plans are tailored to each individual and will vary depending on your needs and your goals. Your progress will be carefully monitored in line with your treatment plan with the need for follow up discussed and agreed at every appointment.

Q. What should I wear for my appointment?

Depending on the area of your body to be assessed, you may be required to remove items of clothing to allow for an appropriate examination. For your comfort, please wear suitable underwear and loose clothing that is easy to remove if required. You are welcome to change into shorts or a vest top if more suitable.

Q. Can I use Private Medical Insurance?

Rewind Physio is registered with the following Private Medical Insurance (PMI) Providers; Vitality, Cigna, Aviva, WPA, Simply Health & Allianz. Unfortunately we are unable to accept AXA or Bupa patients.

If using PMI you are kindly requested to check the terms and conditions of your insurance policy prior to commencing treatment.  You will need to provide your policy number and request a pre-authorisation code from your insurer. You will be responsible for any fees or expenses not covered by your insurance policy including any excess payments.

Q. What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

We understand that life sometimes gets in the way and circumstances can change. However we request that you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. This allows enough time for us to offer the appointment to another patient. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, will incur the full appointment fee.
